A photographic series. Excised from vintage nonfiction manuals, primers, and scientific texts, the scattered phrases and vocabulary reveal the vulnerability of humanity. Even as we strive to dispassionately classify clouds according to color, behavior, and movement, we can’t help but reveal how it feels to stand beneath them. The numbers that we count and the conclusions we draw from them are an attempt to quantify our experience and keep track of our commerce, only to pass the information along to the next humans.
